Vaude Minimalist Featured in Climbing Magazine

Climbing Magazine Featured the Vaude Minimalist 15L backpack in their November 2013 issue.

“Simple, no pressure points when weighted, versatile, and the perfect size for shoulder-season day missions.”

“Forgoing extra doodads and features for a more supportive suspension system, the Minimalist is top of the line when it comes to carrying heavy loads or wearing it all day.”

The Vaude Minimalist is pure unadulterated minimalism. It’s an ultra lightweight, compact top loader built with siliconized material for all climbers and mountaineers who count every ounce they take with them.

The Minimalist is available in three different sizes: 15, 25, and 35 liters. It is comfortably equipped with a detachable frame sheet and a well fitting VFlex body-contact suspension system. Other features include a zip pocket in the lid, additional zip lid pocket inside, gear loops, side compression draw cord, sternum strap, webbing hip belt, and an opening for a hydration system.

VFlex Suspension System: VFlex is specially engineered to meet the demands of alpine terrain. The backpack sits close to the body and distributes the load evenly across the back allowing for optimal balance when hiking. Inside the backpack a preformed back plate ensures firm pack stability. Even when fully loaded, this prevents the backpack from warping out against the back. To shave off some extra grams, the plate can be removed, reducing the weight even further. The hip belt can be completely detached, which is extremely practical when wearing a climbing harness on high altitude tours.
